INTRODUCTION:

You are a part of a Time Travel Team that is being sent back in time to  the vast expanses of China to determine if your dynasty had an enduring or a negative effect on China.  This Time Warp Travel Adventure will cover over a  2,400 year time span.   As you go on your journey via this WebQuest, you will have the opportunity to explore the accomplishments of one of the Chinese dynasties. For every accomplishment of your dynasty, you will be adding bricks to the "GREAT WALL".  For negative aspects of the Chinese cultures during your dynasty, you will be placing crumbled bricks at the foot of the wall.

THE TASK:

In teams of seven you are to build the "GREAT WALL" that is on the bulletin board in your room.  As you explore your dynasty, you research will focus on the Government, Health and Social Concerns, Environmental Issues, Scientific Contributions, Economic  and Social Conditions, and the role of religion in the society.

As you research, you will add bricks to  your section of the "GREAT WALL" in your room for every contribution your dynasty made to society.  The bricks are color coded as to type of contribution.  For example, pink bricks indicate a contribution to the arts while a blue brick indicates an economic contribution.

As you research, you will be asked to add a crumbled brick at the foot of the "GREAT WALL" for negative items that are part of your dynasty.
